Greater Minnesota Gas, Inc. (GMG) offers incentives for above-code newly built homes when you include a 95%+ AFUE natural gas furnace and an HRV/ERV with 60%+ SRE in your new home. A GMG rep can provide the blower door test at no cost. Or, the rater, builder, or homeowner can be reimbursed for the blower door test, up to $300 each. Additional rebates are available for measures that improve energy efficiency.  

It’s Simple – Make the call to sign up for the service and provide the documentation validating the efficiency of the furnace and heat recovery ventilation systems installed in the home.

Builders will receive a blower door test report from their energy tester when they pass the code compliance leakage test. This test can be sent directly to your building code official for compliance purposes. If your home does not pass the code compliance test, you will receive information on how to improve the home’s air tightness and a standard furnace rebate from GMG.
